Hi there. We're the people of PawaMini, nice to meet you. Thought we could tell you a little bit about ourselves and why we started this company. If this is relevant to you, we'd love to be friends.

It's really not complicated, but it's incredibly personal. Our phones were dying. And as parents, sports fans, foodies, business owners, travelers, outdoor lovers and family people, we needed to be connected every minute of every day. With our kids, our partners, our clients, the market, trends, traffic and news. It was hard to get through a day without plugging in and charging up. Problem being, we had to sit at our desk or hop in our cars to plug in and that doesn't always work with the way the day rolls.

So we started working on something small, mobile and fast that could keep us charged and connected. After a few months of development, we realized we were on to something that could really solve a problem for a lot of people. Here's why:

We are a mobile culture. We live on the go and almost never leave our phones behind. This device is our address book, camera, navigation device, work tool, calorie counter, bank, weather tracker, radio, recipe box, tv, travel agent, shopping mall, arcade, newsroom, alarm clock, concierge, workout buddy, realtor, and primary point of connection to our network of work colleagues, close friends (and those friends that we are friends with but never talk to). As phone and app development technology goes super speed, battery capacity cannot keep up.

We are a connected culture. There is an expectation to respond to those emails and text messages faster than ever because we live in a mobile culture. Everyone knows you have your phone on you 24/7. Whether you are in this time zone or around the world. What does it feel like when your phone dies or you unintentionally leave it on your desk when you go to a meeting? You feel naked and stress and anxiety set in. It's so real that it is officially a condition called Nomophobia. It's described as the irrational fear of being without your mobile phone or being unable to use your phone for some reason, such as the absence of a signal or running out of minutes or battery power. We can't solve the signal or minutes but we feel like we're a solid solution on the battery front.

We are an aware culture. People care about the types of products they buy and the impact those products have on the world we live in. We've done our best to build a product with this in mind. The shell of the PawaMini is biodegradable, so peel it off and drop it into your compost. And the Lithium Ion battery, while one time use for you, is recyclable. Is PawaMini the perfect environmentally conscious product? To be honest, no. But we are going to keep pursuing new designs and new ways of solving charging on the go in an environmentally conscious way. In the meantime, please take advantage of our zero waste efforts through our Pawa To the Planet return/recycling program. More details can be found here:

Thanks for reading and hope you can join us and that we can keep you connected along the way. And feel free to follow our journey @pawaminilife on Instagram or Facebook.
